Restoration

For the past three decades, Julie Cravens has dedicated herself to the art of restoration. Collaborating with designers, builders, architects, artists, restorers, and conservators, Julie has honed her skills across a myriad of projects. One notable restoration project exemplifies Julie's expertise and creativity. A complete overhaul of a kitchen involved repainting cabinets, installing new lighting, floors, and countertops. Dark oak cabinets were transformed with a white chalk paint and antiqued detailing, while a silver epoxy countertop added a modern touch. Antique tin accents and farm-themed fixtures replaced old light fixtures, adding charm to the space. Julie's skillful woodgraining technique on the ceiling beam created a striking accent, brightening up the entire room and breathing new life into the space. I went over with a white calk paint and antiqued some detail. The countertop is a silver epoxy which I applied over all counter space. We also took down old light fixture replaced with antique tin accent and an antique fixture with farm theme. The beam across the ceiling I wood-grained to look like a real wood bean on the ceiling which created a nice accent. This redo brightened up this space.
